Description

Games are our passion. We believe games are better when they allow the player to be creative. One possibility to enable the player’s creativity is to implement emergent systems. Using emergence makes entertainment products more enjoyable and serious games more effective! We are a games studio that believes that the technology and know-how from computer game development can be used for more than entertainment. With our know-how we develop not only computer games but also interactive visualizations, augmented reality applications and serious games.

History

Origin

Emergo Entertainment got founded as a partnership between Carl-Philipp Hellmuth, Paul Redetzky and Lisa Zumblick during their studies at the University of Bayreuth. After finishing in 2020 Lisa left the company and Carl-Philipp and Paul decided to continue their venture. In 2022, the company got re-founded as a LLC with Carl-Philipp Hellmuth and Paul Redetzky as founders.

Our debut

In April 2020 we developed a prototype for Fireside for Stay Safe Jam. After recieving much positive feedback, we decided to continue developing the game after finishing our studies. In January 2021 we applied for funding at the FFF Bavaria which got granted in March, which we finished in November 2021. Since then, we have been continuing development of the prototype at a slow pace while searching for a publisher and secure funding to finish the game.
